And so it's set.
Capitals vs. Bruins. Red, white and blue vs. that other black and gold team. Two prior playoff meetings, deadlocked at one win apiece (with the B's sweeping the Caps out of the Wales Conference Finals in 1990 and the Caps taking out the Bruins in the first round on their run to the 1998 Stanley Cup Finals). Pat Riggin for Pete Peeters, Al Iafrate for Joé Juneau. Jim Carey (thank the hockey gods), Anson Carter, Jason Allison and a 3rd for Bill Ranford and Rick Tocchet. Brian Bellows. Kolzig vs. Dafoe. An even dozen of Dale Hunter's NHL fighting majors (that's it?). Tim Thomas's hatred of all things Washington.... the list goes on and on. There's a bit of history and plenty of present-day tension .
