The Noon Number

BOSTON, MA - APRIL 12: Alex Ovechkin #8 of the Washington Capitals takes the puck against the Boston Bruins in Game One of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals during the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at TD Garden on April 12, 2012 in Boston, Massachusetts (chances are awfully good that Zdeno Chara was on the ice when this picture was snapped). 90 - Percent of Alex Ovechkin's even-strength ice time (14.9 minutes) for which Zdeno Chara was on the ice (13.4) in Game 1. Ovechkin's biggest break from Chara at even-strength was 23 seconds long, and he didn't skate a single shift for which Chara was on for less than 57% of the time (Chara was on for the entirety of 13 of Ovechkin's 19 even-strength shifts).

The result? Ovechkin didn't register an even-strength shot on goal and only had one shot attempt at even-strength (which was blocked).
