20 - Consecutive regular season games in which the Capitals have earned at least a point when scoring a shorthanded goal, via a 19-0-1 record dating back to October, 2008 (the one loss came in a shootout against the Pens just over a week before the Caps would beat them in the Winter Classic).
Since the lockout, the Caps are 34-13-5 in the regular season (they were only 12-12-4 under Glen Hanlon) and 3-1 in the playoffs when scoring a shorty.
