Second Period Open Thread
Score first? Check. Score on the power play? Check. Stout goaltending? Check. I love it when a plan comes together - two-zippy Caps after one. Second period ahead...

Did someone drug the Panthers? They look very confused out there.
Nice job Caps!

OT:
Pretty awesome deal for the Isles and Nielsen – 4 years $2.75MM per.
Once you take the fisting element out, it's not romantic anymore.
Considering he took a hometown discount of $550,000 per year before…he deserves every damn penny of it
Can’t believe they got him on that deal. Insane value.

First roughing penalty in Alzner’s NHL career
First NHL fight was less than a month ago. So…. he’s turning into a goon?

Ward has actually shown some decent boardwork and forechecking this game.

Cats fan checking in to say...
Come on Caps! I want to see a 12-0 final with an Ovechtrick.
Want Florida to feel fucking horrible for playing like this for the past 2 months. And I wanna see Dineens white shoes turn brown when he gets them in the lockerroom

Hope I do. Since mid December Florida has played like complete shit and deserve a reality check. I want em to hurt

I can’t imagine any goalie doesn’t, regardless of his recent troubles.

Not quite sure about that. The root of your word is xhooyi – which means “dick.” Might be right.

Sorry to ask again.

I like Chimera on the 2nd – he has enough offense this season to be dangerous, and he can create a fast breakout with MoJo.
Failure is always an option.
Except he’s playing with Perreault, who’s fast enough to keep up with him. But yeah, I agree.

So, first period, I was downstairs (listening to the feed) when Perreault scored, came back up to see Ovi’s PPG. Second period, I was downstairs for Chimmer’s shortie, was back in front of TV to see Ovi’s wicked snipe. So, third period, I should stay down to start until we score again, and then I get to come back up to see 8 get the hattie? Is that how that works? :D
