same knee injury that kept him out of last week’s game. Not sure he made the trip.

Looks like Schultz is in on D again. Is this his longest streak under Hunter?
Failure is always an option.
Glad he is playing. Assuming Orlov is back out, albeit with his face probably plastered up, does this mean Big John is sitting? Will Schultz be paired with Wides again?
Reports this morning indicated that Erskine would indeed be sitting. I’d assume Schultz with Wideman, although I haven’t heard anything about pairings yet.
Failure is always an option.
OK; I think that is a pretty good pairing because it allows 74 and 27 to get back together. It also means Hamr and Orlov are together, but depending on the game, I am not sure there who the veteran is! Orlov has been looking good, fortunately. I like his game a lot.
Those are the pairings I prefer. Schultz plays well with puckmovers like Wideman or Green, Hamrlik has done well in a mentor role in the past, and Carlson-Alzner are comfortable together. Carlson still needs to step up, but that’s a different matter. I heard what the forward lines were at practice, but not the d-pairs.
Failure is always an option.
Ditto. Those pairs make the most sense to me but if Dale is going to go to a 4 man rotation, which seems at least plausible, I’d make Orlov/Schultz the bottom pair.
Please, call me F&B.
They’re going to need to keep an eye on Orly in this game. He’ll be wearing a cage (one game too late!) and he was having trouble breathing (through his nose, obv.) yesterday. Lot of facial swelling for him too, most likely.
You perhaps knew me better as "Your Nation's Capital." Same great commentary, now with 100% more transparency!
The nose is a tough one. If you can’t breathe you just don’t have as much energy.
Please, call me F&B.
< insert haynseworth joke about needing an oxygen tank on the bench >
Oh wait dima would have an actual reason for possibly needing one.
Bruce Boudreau when asked about Brooks Laich's return to the lineup, he said: "He just adds another dimension to our team. If it was puzzle, he just fits that thing. He completes us."
Brooks Laich completing everything from teams to tires and everything in between.

Defeating Panzers
This is picture of how a Panther was defeated with just 20 mm bullets.
Apparently you can achieve success via a constant stream of shots on your target.

And from what I hear, you can be as far as 88 feet away and still be successful.

The boys have no excuse in “not getting it up tonight” to the team that bumped them out of the SE crown and playoffs only a week ago.

@SWhyno
#Caps lines: Ovechkin-Johansson-Brouwer, Chimera-Perreault-Semin, Hendricks-Halpern-Ward, Knuble-Laich-Aucoin. Expect 21 on PP, PK too.
Fourth-line Brooks.

And
bmcnally14 Brian McNally
#Caps d-pairings: Alzner-Carlson. Schultz-Wideman. Hamrlik-Orlov. Tomas Vokoun gets the nod vs his old team.
Failure is always an option.
The only logical explanation for this is to limit his TOI right?
by RossingtonCollins on Feb 7, 2012 6:42 PM EST up reply actions
That is definitely what I would think. I hope he’s not on the PP – the Caps have other players who can do that job.
Failure is always an option.

Apart from Nielsen getting re-signed to a 4-year deal by NYI and taken out of trade play, that is.
Dingos are involved. Best not to ask.
howdy folks.
women are fucking insane. so i need some Caps hockey to help set my mind at ease.
Sounds like a good idea, right?

Hi! And no I haven’t. I need to get to the channel. I’ve been tinkering with the phone. _;;
There's always more to learn about Hockey.
New toys are so fun! :)
Get the TuneIn Radio app, then look for Washington Caps Play by Play. Almost real-tie, in-arena radio feed. For those times you can’t get to the TV.
Good. Fun day at work from start to finish.

I wouldn’t mind Locker’s banter if it were witty, relevant, or informative. But it’s none of those. None. None more pointless.

I’ve never particularly been a fan of his. He’s no Erreywald, Edwards, or Jeanneret; but I’m still not a big fan of what he brings to a broadcast.

I bought Gamecenter live so I could watch Caps games while traveling and living out of a hotel room. So annoying how often games are blacked out. Is this game on NBCSports network or something?
Because now I can justify browsing and commenting during the work day with the argument that I am promoting my business.
I’m in Connecticut and it keeps giving me the blackout error message
Because now I can justify browsing and commenting during the work day with the argument that I am promoting my business.
I’m in MA and getting it just fine. You should be fine, too. That is quite weird.
I'll have the milksteak, over hard
Should have just bought a slingbox instead.
Because now I can justify browsing and commenting during the work day with the argument that I am promoting my business.
next time anyone asks GCL or center ice, even in standard def it is CI every time.
I'll have the milksteak, over hard
I never had an issue with GCL and liked it in college when I couldn’t do Center Ice at the dorm and when I was traveling in hockey
tonight is the first time in two months that a weeknight game has not been in def worse than standard or outright broken. even tonight it is still skipping a bit, and it is the best we’ve had here in months. I’m sure it has more to do with comcast than anything, but still…
I'll have the milksteak, over hard
Like Sombrero, I use GCL on travel. But here in NC, all FLA, CAR and TB games are blacked out, without fail. I won’t re-up.
Cross check and all call.

Point of interest: Jeff Schultz thinks that, if he were a tree, he would be a silver birch.
