Which DC sports team has the Most Valuable Players? That would be DC United, a team being pushed out by the city. Help Keep United in DC so they can receive a fair deal on a lease and help develop a path to build a stadium with local investment and incentives.

First time this season Thomas will play both games of a back to back. Here’s hoping he’s fatigued.

by Beakers Lab on Feb 5, 2012 12:13 PM EST reply actions

Lineup today is: 8-90-28, 26-21-20, 25-15-22, 23-85-42, 27-74, 44-81 55-6, 29

So Perreault single-handedly buries the B’s last game on the top line and gets demoted to the 4th line for this game? The hell? Logic, we we has it?

by David C. Rothman on Feb 5, 2012 12:18 PM EST reply actions

Funny how our All-Star D is on the “third” D line.

does anyone have an audio stream thats mobile friendly ? (android) thanks!

by xfullboost on Feb 5, 2012 12:26 PM EST via Android app reply actions

Look for an app named hockey radio – hass all teams – I follow the Ducks broadcasts.

by Ahberg on Feb 5, 2012 12:37 PM EST up reply actions

Also there is an app called tunein radio where 1500 has a stream you can listen to if you look in the DC feeds.

by icehammer97 on Feb 5, 2012 12:38 PM EST up reply actions

Ah, I started using tuneIn when I was on bus trips for hockey so I would know or care if it was a little behind it was live to me.

by icehammer97 on Feb 5, 2012 12:42 PM EST up reply actions

Get TuneIn it has the stadium radio feed (no delay! you can listen to it at the game!)

by discuit on Feb 5, 2012 12:38 PM EST up reply actions

I second this, TuneIn is awesome.

by RossingtonCollins on Feb 5, 2012 12:40 PM EST up reply actions

The station is called “Washington Capitals Play-by-Play”

by discuit on Feb 5, 2012 12:41 PM EST up reply actions

I have TuneIn and I didn’t know that! How awesome. Is that only for home games, I’m assuming?

by Aliceanna on Feb 5, 2012 12:42 PM EST up reply actions

Think so. Gotta use WFED (1500) for away games.

by discuit on Feb 5, 2012 12:44 PM EST up reply actions

Which is what I was doing anyway, but cool to know we get home games with less delay.

by Aliceanna on Feb 5, 2012 12:45 PM EST up reply actions

Thanks just found it I also didn’t know

I love how the nbcs crew doesn’t know if Vokoun can handle the afternoon back to back games at 35 but Tim Thomas should be fine even though hes older and this is his first b2b this season

by Beakers Lab on Feb 5, 2012 12:32 PM EST reply actions

Pretty sure they only stream ones on NBC not the sports network (VS)

Well, boo. Usually the Caps SB-Sunday game is on NBCSports.com.

by Martyvburen on Feb 5, 2012 12:34 PM EST up reply actions

Normally they are on NBC but they are doing some pregame for some football game where people only remember the ads

by icehammer97 on Feb 5, 2012 12:36 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah, I’m on that, but the NBC stream is always more reliable.

by Martyvburen on Feb 5, 2012 12:36 PM EST up reply actions

That standings chart was wrong. Caps have 58 points, not 56

by discuit on Feb 5, 2012 12:37 PM EST reply actions

Meh, minor details, who pays attention to those kind of things

by Beakers Lab on Feb 5, 2012 12:37 PM EST up reply actions

Well, it’s not like NBC is the exclusive network of the NHL, so you can’t expect them to get EVERYTHING right.

Good luck, FBI. Shut down a bunch of sites this week that were streaming because of the superbowl

by Beakers Lab on Feb 5, 2012 12:41 PM EST up reply actions

Even Tom Brady watches illegal streams. He admitted it this week.

by discuit on Feb 5, 2012 12:42 PM EST up reply actions

Last year, I was rehabbing my foot in Costa Rica watching the game on an illegal Super Bowl website and now I’m actually playing in the game, so it’s pretty cool.

I read an article that was tracking the IPs of illegal downloads and there were a ton of downloads from Congressional IPs

About a month ago, a bunch of TV shows were downloaded from IPs owned by the RIAA. Ah hypocrisy…

by Rather Bengt on Feb 5, 2012 12:43 PM EST up reply actions

by Martyvburen on Feb 5, 2012 12:43 PM EST up reply actions

the other night, Locker mentioned that when playing back-to-back games, his legs always seemed to feel worse at the beginning of the 2nd game as opposed to as the game wore on and the adrenaline got flowing. Things are starting to happen. Shots are 10-8 B’s now.

Semin missed by two inches.

Nice guys finish first, but sometimes the season is awfully long.

i thought maybe he'd avoid fighting for a bit with the ear still apparently healing, but good for him, sticking up for Brooks

From Vogel:

#Caps caught standing and looking down low while Marchand punches one in to make it 2-0 at 18:38 of the first.

Sigh.

A goal would be a nice pick me up.

You had me at Ovechkin.

Shots are only 11-8. Score is 2-0. Thomas probably the difference now. I hope we keep it up. Things will come.
