It seems the Kloten Flyers will have to make do without their first line center for an unknown amount of time.

Multiple reports from Switzerland (and elsewhere) indicate that Capitals forward Brooks Laich has sustained a (groin/hamstring/adductor) injury and has left the Kloten Flyers to return to North America for treatment.

In 15 games played, Laich has six goals, eight assists, and a plus-8 rating. He suited up for Friday's 8-0 win over the SCL Tigers, but left the game with an injury, according to the Swiss National A league website.

He was expected to play on Saturday in the second game of the back-to-back, but was not on the roster.

Subsequent reports from multiple sites indicate that he has an injury to the leg/groin/abdomen and is returning Stateside for treatment.
