- The NHL lockout lingers but there is hockey news from overseas:
- The KHL resumed play after its Karjala Cup layover. Dynamo Moscow returned to action at Vityaz Chekhov, and maintained their lead atop the Bobrov Division behind #69’s overtime, hat-trick-sealing gamewinner. - Aaaargh! Jason Chimera has run up the Jolly Roger and is setting sail for the land of milk and Neuvy, having signed a short-term contract with HC Pirati Chomutov in the Czech Extraliga. Per the team website, they have prepared his Pirates #25 jersey already and he will be playing with former Cap Milan Jurcina. His season debut is expected either Sunday or Tuesday. - Marcus Johansson‘s reported mystery back pains were apparently good for his hockey skills, as his goal-and-assist helped Karlskoga to a 5-3 victory over Djurgården. [Sveriges Radio]
- Wojtek Wolski scored the game-winning overtime goal for HC PBS-Ciarko Bank Sanokon Tuesday, his second on the season and the first under his new head coach. [sport.pl]
