That’s some weak instigator sauce there, Recker.
I remember this fight because a few weeks earlier, Belak did the same thing to Erskine. Jumped him and forced him into a fight he didn’t seem to want. John didn’t fight much at all this season (‘08-’09) because he got a nasty concussion the season prior against Godard. Well, that, and supposedly because Brash was supposed to be taking these types of fights.
And, of course, 2008-2009 was the last year we had Brash who was essentially done, even if the Rangers did sign him up for 2 years. Brash missed most of that spring after that fight with Wade Belak that left him injured.
Rocking the Red for teams on the banks of the Potomac and at the Gateway Arch and Singing the Blues about Hockey.
Not to mention a lengthy suspension in the playoffs after blindsiding Blair Betts in Game 6 against the Rangers.
Occasionally reporting from Section 421 of the Verizon Center...
