I took D’ohBoy’s advice and didn’t click on the link. Fewer hits means the story dies down more quickly. Hopefully.

Besides I already know what it says: Ovi bad. Refuses to go to the ASG because he’s selfish and is pouting. He owes it to his fans to attend. All those young Canadian boys wearing #8 will be disappointed.

And if Ovi did go, we would see a similar story: Ovi bad. Suspended player selfish for taking ASG spot of a more worthy player, and shows his disregard by having a good time and sets a bad example to all those young Canadian kids who just want to play the game the right way.

Happy Pre-Friday to you too, Bath. :-)

I know what you mean. I finally got enough sleep after putting in 10 hours yesterday on four hours of sleep. Blarg.

I drugged the dog at 10:30 pm and went to bed…and he STILL woke up at 2 am. However, he was still stoned off his little furry butt, so I held him down so he wouldn’t fall off the bed…and after a little bit, he passed back out. I eventually got back to sleep.

I think it’s time to take him in for a check up.

You’re sympathizing as if you were in her position, but the fact is, she doesn’t think in a rational fashion, or she wouldn’t have fucked with your mind like she did in the first place. In an office work environment, should men shave every day? I don’t mean clean shaven, I mean neatened up, whether you have a beard, goatee, stache, or smooth skin.

I struggle with this, as I see many 20-somethings that don’t shave every day as a matter of practice.

I think it’s either clean-shaven, or well-maintained facial hair. The Brooks Laich look is hot but:
a. 99.9% of the guys out there are not Brooks Laich, nor are they professional hockey players, where “scruffy” is an acceptable look
b. the fact is, “scruffy” is hard as hell to pull off and unless you’re Brooks Laich, you look like a destitute street bum attempting the world’s saddest Grizzly Adams beard.

I think you’d have to take it on an individual basis. Different guys have facial hair that grows at different rates. Some guys can’t grow a beard to save their lives and thus don’t really need to shave every day. Some guys grow beards in about 30 seconds and should probably keep it at least neatened up most days. My office is extremely laid back about looks, so I’m only really guessing at this point. Seriously. You could show up in pajamas at my work and no one would really care as long as you got your work done.

http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/pat-sajak-admits-drinking-wheel-fortune-tapings-on-air-interview-article-1.1012219

Sajak said he and letter turner Vanna White regularly would consume alcohol before taping to fill the downtime created by the game show’s original format.

“Our dinner breaks would be 2 1/2 hours long while they drove in new cars and boats and gazebos and stuff,” Sajak told Le Batard. "So at NBC in Burbank we had a place called Los Arcos across the street, and they served great margaritas.

We only finally started getting one in Toronto a couple weeks back. It’s been quite tame. No major snowfalls.

It’s been a warm winter in DC for the most part, the occasional cold spell, but nothing major!

Disgustingly gloomy lately though. I can’t remember our last sunny day.

I read it’s supposed to go 7 books in toto. But I’m anxious to see where they take the TV series in terms what was in the books. Should be fun.

I’m pretty sure GRRM has already said the next (and last) 2 books will be Winds of Winter and Song of Spring. I’m wondering if the TV series will go past Book 3. If they do, they’ll probably need to break each book into multiple seasons. I really hope they do, because the first season was very well done, and the second looks to be as good.

Failure is always an option.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he caved and did 8. Or if book 7 turned out to be so long the publishers broke it into two.

by Vinn on Jan 26, 2012 3:40 PM EST up reply actions

I was pretty surly when I found out at the end of Book 4 it was actually “two” books. Really? You couldn’t have told me that at the beginning?

From what I’ve heard, the series was originally supposed to only be 5 books, with Feast and Dance being a single book, and the last 2 being another book. I just hope he gets the series finished soon – he isn’t exactly young anymore, The only series I am looking forward to the next book in as much is Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archives.

does anyone else find it odd (and maybe borderline pathetic) that the Post is doing this whole big retrospective on the last time the Redskins won the Super Bowl?

It just makes me feel old. And feel strange that a franchise that’s been a pathetic bag of dullness for the last 20 years is still so popular.

It’s pretty interesting to read now that they actually had a deal on the table for John Elway, but they didn’t want to trade Jim Lachey.
