Which DC sports team has the Most Valuable Players? That would be DC United, a team being pushed out by the city. Help Keep United in DC so they can receive a fair deal on a lease and help develop a path to build a stadium with local investment and incentives.

Hey BP, regarding your Balsillie comment, it’s too bad what’s happening with RIM. Blackberry is the secure user’s phone of choice because according to my husband, iPhones and Androids are too easily hacked. So far the Blackberry is the only smartphone approved for government use, and presumably that’s keeping them in business for now. Part of the reason I’ve resisted a smartphone is because he’ll only let me get a Blackberry if I’m going to use it for my office e-mail and such, and I haven’t been happy with the features available yet. Because I really don’t need it that much for my work (yet, although I’d like to access my Outlook) and want the fun features.

I can apparently only translate things to movie-related things (and never having a Blackberry I’m not familiar with how shizzle they are), but it seemed like RIM was handling stuff in a Blockbuster video sort of thinking. Start out real well and then when competitors started showing up and getting close, rather than evolve and look forward they just wanted to contribute to what the other guys were doing, and not do them all that well (like the Playbook). Here’s hoping they can turn it around.

I think there’s a lot of truth in your comparison. Not just Blockbuster, but any company that’s first in it’s industry. AOL, for example.

Freak-out for Wisco.

Friday night gaming ended up not happening (J called off and P&S had stuff they needed to get done). So after the Caps game, I figured I’d drive some laps in Gran Turismo. Finished a 2.5 hour endurance race and started one of the Cup series races. As I’m flying around one of the tracks, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something move/fall in front of one of my book cases. “Ok,” I thought, “I’ll check to see what that is after this race is done.” Race finishes so I look to see what fell. I see a small, darkish-grey head looking back at me. First words out of my mouth were, “OH MY GOD!” There’s a fucking snake in my room. No idea how it got in either. So I put on a pair of work gloves, grab a tall box I happened to have in my room, quickly grab the thing by its head and drop it in the box. About a foot long (give or take), medium-dark grey with three lighter grey stripes running the length of its body, skinny. I’m fairly certain it was a garter snake of some sort. Walk upstairs with box in hand, turn disarm the house alarm, step outside and release the snake back into the wild. Go back inside, rearm the alarm, put the box back, finish the race series I was in the middle of, turn console off, go back upstairs, watch TV rest of night as now I can’t get to sleep. I was rather wired, understandably. I eventually fell asleep on the couch in front of the TV, but that wasn’t until about 6 AM.

As I said, I don’t have issues with snakes, normally. I take issue when there’s one in my room that I haven’t invited in.

Then freaked out that he was naked in his own home at 5am because HE WAS NEAR A SCHOOL BUS STOP OH NOES.

I created my Mumford & Sons channel. There is a way to share channels with your friends, but I haven’t figured it out. Let me investigate.

However, in the pre-made Pandora genre stations, the Classic Punk station (which Boutros told me about) is pretty great.
