I’m having a hard time not getting incredibly frustrated watching Hunter’s brand of hockey. I know the goal is to win the big silver thing in June. But this isn’t even all that enjoyable to watch lately.

I think Hunter’s job here is to maybe get the Caps into the playoffs and keep the asses in the seats until GMGM can find another coach over the summer. Of course, it may just be that Hunter is the last coach of the GMGM era.

Oh hello strawman, that is 100% irrelevant to the crux of our argument as five years ago people understood this team had AHL talent with the exception of AO and weren’t going anywhere. Five years ago they weren’t looked at as a contender for anything other than the top pick. But keep mischaracterizing the argument and ignoring that for this team now, “how” matters (or should) more than “how many”.

Clearly posters have never posted real analysis for what they think is wrong with this team and certain solutions. And posting negativity in the heat of the moment during a game is definitely not nearly as constructive as say “It’s just game! They have time!” (which has been going for, what, 2+ seasons now?) and the baseless optimism that this team is just “underperforming”. (They’re actually just thoroughly mediocre).
