The Noon Number
420 - Minutes played on their home ice since the Caps last trailed in a game.
Since losing to Philadelphia on December 13, the Caps have run off seven-straight wins, outscoring opponents 21-8 and never trailing (despite being out-shot by an average margin of 29-22 in those games; interestingly, they won the first two games by three goals, the next two by two, and the last three by one).
The Caps will look to add another 60 minutes to that total tonight, when they host the New York Islanders.

when was the last time he played on home ice? IIRC, his first return was @ NJ and the second @SJ

He played in the Bourque-Backstrom game – that was his return last time around.

Which DC sports team has the Most Valuable Players? That would be DC United, a team being pushed out by the city. Help Keep United in DC so they can receive a fair deal on a lease and help develop a path to build a stadium with local investment and incentives.

I don’t mean to be blunt, but this thread is silly.

I have a chronic problem with going off-topic on these. To bring it back on-topic, I just hope the Caps can pot a few goals tonight and keep the team on the right track.

With Backstrom out, who will pass to the left-hand side?

I didn’t like the reference to a “vestibular” concussion in the NHL.com article on Crosby this morning (one defined in the article as “one that affects a person’s ability to balance himself properly and move freely”). That’s the kind of spatial orientation issue that might or might not ever be resolved at his level of performance.

Players
Some of the wins we’ve had haven’t been too convincing and some of the players we have on our team haven’t really helped out much,Ward,Perreault, Eakin,Beagle,Knuble,Hendricks and Johansson has been so so.That’s two lines right there of offense and even with Backstrom and Green at maybe 75% isn’t going to be enough to save this team.Maybe the All Star break might help us out and they can put the finishing touches on Hunters system. When they play it they look awesome but of course that isn’t very often. What happened to this team that was feared and now almost a laughing stock.I wanna see what McPhee does to try and get himself out of this mess.Trade for a legit number 2 center ,a wing and possible a defense man.Who knows.Jasper if you have any suggestions please reply. From a Caps fan thats a lillte lost. Thanks
