OT Fantasy Hockey 1/16
In Marleau Runs These Streits, only four weeks left until the playoffs. Natty and F&B are the clear top two, but who in the pack is your darkhorse for a playoff run?

I’m accepting offers for players from those looking to strengthen their depth for the playoff run. Or for those with awful keepers who may want one. Either way, accepting offers for some of my team.
Once you take the fisting element out, it's not romantic anymore.

I thought my team was coming together well, but the last few weeks they’ve been awful (and are off to another scorching start this week).
I wouldn’t sleep on swim to make another run to defend his title. If Staal and Ryan rebound from slow starts he’s got a real dangerous team.
Release the Mackan!
agreed, swim scares me. and so does d’ohboy, given the strength of his goalies. d’oh has two guys that together could sweep the goalie categories during a playoff matchup, and if that happens it would take a miraculous week by his opponent’s skaters to stave off defeat.

I’d take my goalie tandem over his. Hank is obviously Hank, but Halak hasn’t lost a game in regulation since November. The St Louis team D is making him and Bishop look real good this year.
My skaters now, are another question…
but you have to commit a third goalie to get close to the number of Ws d’ohboy can put up with just two.

it’s all about health for a few of the teams. obviously SME and crosby. renstar’s been totally decimated, same with knee high (though skinner is ready for action). assuming letang is back for good and koivu makes it back before the playoffs, i’ll be okay. but separated shoulders are shitty injuries, so no real confidence in koivu or RNH going forward.
yeah it’s brutal. i’m not clear on why you’re holding on to a few of them. do you plan to keep hedman? staal? why not cut them loose, there are some decent free agents. also, yannick weber might as well be injured, that guy is killing you.

mostly just have not been thinking, really. i started considering dropping guys last night after i made that last comment. But my team is pretty terrrible, and has been all year. I definitely planned to change the layout after a couple of weeks (namely trying to trade one of the goalies), but the Caps bed shitting really put a stop to that, so I never bothered.
Also, I got boned for a while because ESPN refused to IR Green. And as soon as someone comes back, someone else that matters goes down. I picked up some filler but was too lazy to waiver queen them over a shitty team.
I mostly have not been too in to it this year. I have more fun watching other NHL hockey when I am entertained by caps hockey. Right now I am everything but entertained by watching caps hockey. This is also why I don’t read or post here all that often (relative to the amount that I normally post) these days.

understood, and one of the reasons i’ve been more scarce around here too. i’m different though in that even with ovechkin on my team, i find fantasy hockey a nice diversion from the caps suckitude.
