Slightly on topic: while I support you guys making some cash on the side of this… I sure hope this doesn’t go too overboard. This is currently hidden behind the page. It should at least be Capitals Red ;)

It’s an ad campaign the network is running on this site in the short-term.

I guess I have the wrong impression then, I wasn’t aware that our contributors are directly paid for their articles. I guess it’s a compliment that it always felt like a community of fans-turned-journalist that produced the content.

Important note to add: that article was awesome and I do appreciate it. Just very… shocking I guess would be the word… to see a 1/2 page advertisement for the DC Lotto. The post is no problem, its the sidebars that could be wacky :)

No, you’ve got the right impression. Just a little joke – we get a couple of bucks for this and we put it back into the site by investing in stuff like Game Center Live, from which we pull video and whatnot.
