Post Your Capitals Related Photo Memes Here
I was thinking it might be helpful to create a Photo Meme gallery of sorts, so we could have one simple thread to refer back to in the future for a well timed photo meme gag in future comment threads.
I don't think it necessarily matters if the photos contain former Capitals. It would still be fun to have those handy as well.
Some examples I could locate quickly:
Feel free to post others in the comments below. If you have one that drops an F-Bomb, could you also provide one that adheres to the FX network's language guidelines as well? Thanks in advance to everyone for their help.
If this FanPost is written by someone other than one of the blog's editors, the opinions expressed in it do not necessarily reflect those of this blog or SB Nation.

I was looking for this yesterday, when some guy said it was his first post ever, and mentioned GMGM’s failure to bring in a d-man who hit people.

Someone skilled (hint, it isn’t me) needs to make one with Knuble. He’s the ultimate Penguin killer, and the guys in the photos here are all now ex-Caps. I’ll help, though.

Don’t try to figure Sasha out. Just ride the wave.

When I think of Knuble killing Penguins, I think of this image:

Done. I want this fan post to survive and thrive. A little levity is needed—such a dark week with the hockey gods.
Now I have an embarrassing request: how do I include an actual image into a post? (I’m not the most technical of souls).
by capsyoungguns on Sep 9, 2011 11:43 PM EDT up reply actions
You’ll need a url for the picture itself (starts with “http://”). Most times when you right-click on a pic, you can select “get picture info” or something like that, which will show you the unique address for the picture (if you’re not sure, copy the address given to an open browser and try it out). If you have a picture without an address (for instance, on your hard drive), you’ll need to upload it onto a picture service like Flckr or Photobucket, which will create a unique url for the pic. Copy the address, select the little picture of the tree in the blue Reply box (“image”), and paste in the address. Select “Preview” if you want to make sure it worked.
One last thing: Remember to type in something (dots, words, emoticons, whatever) in the Reply Title box so others can collapse the photo (tends to bog down mobile devices).

Great explanation of the details. Just don’t forget the part of enclosing the URL in exclamation points.

Just tested it. It looks like you use the exclamation points instead of the image link (the tree pic).

It’s the first image that popped into my mind when I first read this post. Neuvy really does have a “Hello Kitty” kind of face, but nonetheless stern and unflappable. Hmm, I might have to blow up the image poster size for myself….!

And it will be even better when a certain person becomes a full fledged member of the team, a person who plans to erase all bad associations that a certain number has with the city — for both the Caps (and Redskins, as well.)

Another request — the first goal of Game 1 of Round 1 of the playoffs. Love the reactions of Ovi & Semin. (And, of course, there was suspense on whether the goal would count.) That was a real turning point for that round of the playoffs.

I love it. I’m using my newfound expertise now to capture the image and will repost with something funny. We have so many new faces on the team that someone will need to create a newly captioned bench shot once the season starts.
BTW I believe it was you who suggested using the many Caps playoffs towels in the kitchen. You’re right. They are perfect and up to any grimy, hard-duty kitchen task.

(Seriously, I attended that particular practice. Before that scene, the Caps were skating around the rink and during that time, Neuvy and Sasha were batting the puck back & forth to one another prior to Semin sitting on top of Neuvy.)
