I am as big a fan of Knuble as anyone, but..... we now have 5 forwards that are roughly the same, i.e. decent scorers, big bodies, and pretty tough. They are Knuble, Laich, Brouwer, Fehr, and Ward. While we are lucky to have that many quality bruisers we don't need all 5, particularly since we need to trade or dump salary to keep Alzner. And, of all those, at his age he may offer the lowest number of goals next year. Yet, it seems that in the bulk of the board discussions regarding cap relief there has been very little discussion about trading Knuble. Why is that? He is the oldest of the wingers, pretty highly paid, and now that we have Halpy and Hamrlik his 'veteran leadership' isn't as crucial. I would imagine that young teams such as Florida, Edmonton, Colorado, and the Isles, for example, would jump on him for a year.
