8 - Number of consecutive 20-goal seasons for Mike Knuble, one of only five NHLers to hit the 20-goal mark in each of the last eight seasons (the others are Martin St. Louis, Ilya Kovalchuk, Jarome Iginla and Marian Hossa). He's also one of only fifteen NHLers all-time to have at least four 20+ goal seasons over the age of 35.
"It’s my goal every year. I think it’s something I’m very proud of. I’ve benefited from longevity, health and great linemates — you can’t achieve that without great linemates, first and foremost, and being put in a position to get 20 — but I’m very proud of that fact. I was absolutely thrilled when it went in. I’m not going to lie about that." – Knuble on his milestone
His goal against the Flyers last night not only pushed him to the 20-goal plateau but also gave him a team-high six goals in his last twelve games; he has seven goals and seven assists in his last seventeen games and has doubled his points-per-game to 0.82 over that span, up from 0.41 over his first 53 games. The Caps are 14-3-0 over the course of those seventeen games.
