The Caps are playing Glen Hanlon style hockey. It didn't for us then and it won't work now. Does anyone actually believe that just because Bruce Boudreau is our coach he can successfully implement a grind it out trapping style of play when Glen Hanlon could not? Bruce is a far better coach, but regardless, our players are not built for this. We are not a defensive team by nature. What we're trying to do is akin to trying to turn a Thoroubred into a ranch horse. We either get back to our high risk, high reward play or we will be out after the first round. Heck, we may not even make the playoffs if we keep playing this game. Plain and simple, it won't work with this group of players.
