Best Caps games of calendar year 2011

I'm a sucker for lists. So as 2011 comes to a close, I've been thinking about my favorite Caps games of the year.

The comeback-and-double-OT playoff win against the Rangers is a given.

The Winter Classic is also a given to me. It wasn't the best hockey played, but there's more to games than that, especially when it comes to the Winter Classic.

But after those two, it's wide open. What are your favorites of the year?

There's the back-and-forth 7-6 win over Anaheim last season. The "Ovi not on the ice" OT win over Anaheim last season. The home opener 6-5 SO win over Tampa this season. The list goes on. What about blowouts? Does the 7-1 win over Detroit count as a "good game"?

Neuvy shutting out Pittburgh twice after Bylsma dissed him was pretty gratifying, though I don’t remember if they were exciting games. First one was on Super Bowl Sunday.

Gotta flip through the games saved on my computer…

4-3 OT win over the Blackhawks was fun. (March 12)
That capped off Holtby’s epic week- 4-0-0, GAA 1.05, .965 SVP and one shutout. NHL’s first star of the week!

I remember that game as if it were only a week and change from now.

You perhaps knew me better as "Your Nation's Capital." Same great commentary, now with 100% more transparency!

The game where Ovi pinwheeled PK Subban, though it would have been better if the Caps had actually won that game.

The home opener was against the Canes with a PP GWG in OT which was also a fun game. Another fun one was game 1 vs NYR in the playoffs with Semin getting the OT winner.
