John Carlson Named NHL's Third Star of the Week
"[John] Carlson contributed consecutive three-point efforts on the Capitals' back end and amassed 1 goal and 7 points for the week. After picking up three assists in a 6-5 loss to the Panthers, Carlson had two more assists and the empty-net goal as the Caps rallied with a four-goal period for a 5-3 win over the Senators. Carlson then added an assist on Brooks Laich's power-play goal that sealed a 4-2 victory over the Maple Leafs on Saturday." - NHL.com
