MRTS

Big pack of us bunched around the .500 mark. Parity, baby!

Poor Yosh.

My boss effed me by telling me to drive home (10 hours) on draft night. I"m working on a season that’ll make the 62 Mets look good.

by Yoshietree on Oct 31, 2011 6:48 PM EDT up reply actions

That said, only untouchables (I don’t have much) are Hall and Sedin.

by Yoshietree on Oct 31, 2011 6:49 PM EDT up reply actions

i would make a push for shea weber, but i think i’m out of ammo (or at least expendable ammo).

thanks for pulling the trigger so fast on the toews-ribs/seabrook trade.

if it gets to the point where you want to totally rebuild, i’ll probably move either RNH and landeskog later this season.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 31, 2011 7:20 PM EDT up reply actions

I’ll keep that in mind…I hate (d :( ) losing Toews…but my lineup is ugly right now.

by Yoshietree on Oct 31, 2011 7:45 PM EDT up reply actions

for what it’s worth, i had grown to REALLY like ribeiro’s game (obviously minus the reputation for diving). the guy is freaking talented, and his ability to carry that morrow line and play 1C minutes in place of brad richards is a major reason dallas is outperforming expectations. he was rolling on all cylinders for SME’s team during our playoff matchup last year, and i’ve been a fan ever since.

for my part: i’ll be spending december and january in chicago this year, so owning toews+kane will be fun.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 31, 2011 7:55 PM EDT up reply actions

I think I’ve had Ribeiro on one of my teams for 5 years running. He’s always been awesome for my fantasy teams.

Once you take the fisting element out, it's not romantic anymore.

by Steckel Me Elmo on Oct 31, 2011 8:44 PM EDT up reply actions

Oh I don’t think it was a bad trade for either side…I’m just a Toews fanboy. His jersey was the only one (other than Caps or ginger Canucks) I came back with from Korea.

by Yoshietree on Oct 31, 2011 9:28 PM EDT up reply actions

totally understood. i probably put a little too much value on the guys i like personally. i feel that same way about p.kane. maybe i can trade you back toews next offseason. :)

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 31, 2011 9:33 PM EDT up reply actions

C’mon, give my boy Souray some credit for Dallas overachieving so far!

by Cluster on Nov 1, 2011 9:41 AM EDT up reply actions

Actually, for as well as Souray has produced, Goligoski hasn’t, so there probably an offset there..

by Cluster on Nov 1, 2011 9:44 AM EDT up reply actions

1070 PDO for Souray, 942 for Gogo. Gogo getting killed on both halves of the equation.

Please, call me F&B.

Swim’s big night on Sunday screwed me out of maintaining the top spot.

I’m shopping my non-keeper Fs for a pick (Weiss, Versteeg, Marchand, Lecavalier, Pominville, etc.). Really no one is untouchable given the right offer.

Cleaning up on goalies! Though that doesn’t change that Rinne gobbled all the cocks and burgled all the turds tonight.

He had a schizo night. He had some ridiculous saves, but one horrible goal and a couple he probably wants back. He wasn’t as bad as the score though. CHI could have won that game with 7 or 8 goals in regulation.

Please, call me F&B.

Keeper Regrets?

Who’s got ‘em? Based on the first 3+ weeks of the season, I’m definitely regretting holding on to Roy instead of Pavelski. Probably would revisit the Gogo decision too.

by Cluster on Nov 1, 2011 11:02 AM EDT reply actions

hard to blame yourself too much for pavelski’s rapid ascent or gogo’s rapid descent.

i know he’s done squat so far, but i still think you should have kept stewart. his SOGs are there, his PIMs are there and his ATOI is good enough. he’s getting power play minutes. i think it’s just a matter of time for him.

by Natty Bumppo on Nov 1, 2011 11:11 AM EDT up reply actions

Sure hope you’re right about Stewart. I got him on 2 teams.

Overall I’m fine with my keeper decisions, even though 3/5 of my keepers are blowing so far. Parise, Heatley and Carter have all been very underwhelming, but I didn’t have any other options and they should (hopefully) pick up the pace. Although I may have been better off keeping Richards instead of trading a 2nd round pick for Heatley. But I’m just glad I decided against keeping Krejci.

My biggest regret though is probably sticking with Subban and Carlson as my prospect keepers and trading away Mackan. Carlson isn’t getting the TOI or pts this year and Mackan still has another year of prospect status.

Release the Mackan!

by Killer_Carlson on Nov 1, 2011 11:43 AM EDT up reply actions

I’m borderline regretting Zetterberg in place of Lucic or Iginla. Not regretting Vokoun right now, though I might if the PK doesn’t get its ass in gear

I can’t believe Roy has been so unproductive given Buffalo’s start. Is he just not getting PP time?

Release the Mackan!

by Killer_Carlson on Nov 1, 2011 11:44 AM EDT up reply actions

almost all the guys we’re complaining about are in this article from PHT. roy’s PP time has been reduced, but that came after his initial struggles.

worst line-juggling coaches in the league? ruff, BB, torts? whoever is coaching st. louis at a given time?

by Natty Bumppo on Nov 1, 2011 11:56 AM EDT up reply actions

As Natty said, it’s only recently that Roy’s PP time has been cut (last two games 0:40 and 0:11 PP TOI). First 7 or 8 games though, he was getting PP1 time. Only 1 assist to show for it.

by Cluster on Nov 1, 2011 12:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Damn, that’s surprising given the hot starts by Vanek and Pominville (who is joining Neal to help make up for my keepers being a bunch of slapdicks).

Release the Mackan!

by Killer_Carlson on Nov 1, 2011 1:14 PM EDT up reply actions

Ha, and just like that Roy gets over 5 min of PP time last night and produces zippy. Almost 25 min TOI for the game too, which is pretty shocking.

by Cluster on Nov 3, 2011 8:50 AM EDT up reply actions

Staal’s start to the year has me pissed off at him but I don’t know who else I would rather keep instead. None of the keepers I almost kept instead are really off to that hot of a start either and I am hoping he and Bobby Ryan pick it up soon. Really happy Seguin is looking like a solid prospect keeper and really glad he has another year left as a prospect.

Should be obvious, but I’m always open to making deals (as evidenced by today’s swap w/ K_C), so feel free to shoot me an email(s).

swim, if you’re interested in trading Wiz, lemme know.

I love the min he is eating and I think I’m gonna hang on to him for a bit but I would listen to an offer if you think of something. Also pretty much anyone on my team is up for grabs for the right offer, so anyone have some ideas let me know.

It appears that ESPN is counting goalie PIMs now, which is awesome for me. Not sure if they counted last year

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → b a (select) start

by renstar on Nov 1, 2011 10:14 PM EDT reply actions

definitely didn’t count last year (i remember missing out on some carey price PIMs last year for leaving his crease). sucks that it hurts me this week, but i agree i like the change.

by Natty Bumppo on Nov 2, 2011 1:09 AM EDT up reply actions

ESPN giveth, ESPN taketh away. The PIM was there last night but gone now.

weirdly i have two PIMs taken from me, too. not sure where they were from, though.

I was confused by that too. We both had 6 when I went to bed last night…

Any idea if they count goalie assists? I know Yahoo doesn’t, but I always thought they should count.

not sure, will keep a look out. it’s possible. ren’s PIMs don’t appear next to vokoun’s name (there isn’t a column for them), but they appear in today’s total. assists could be the same.
