Considering the opening week beat down you brought, I’d have gone more aggressive, but that’s a good one, nonetheless.

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 17, 2011 3:16 PM EDT up reply actions

the brothers were a combined 22-7-1 in week 1. K_C took an early lead in PIMs thanks to chris stewart’s 17 PIMs against dallas. d’oh put up an amazing -16 for the week.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 17, 2011 9:42 AM EDT reply actions

Kovalchuk is carrying my team in ATOI – 27:01 out of a forward slot is bananas.

by Knee high to a duck on Oct 17, 2011 11:18 AM EDT up reply actions

And no doubt a great utilization pattern for the Devils…

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 17, 2011 3:11 PM EDT up reply actions

Anaheim’s BS play is killing me right now. Also, I’ve got too many #1 D on sketchy teams.

Unleash the Apathy.

by D'ohboy on Oct 17, 2011 12:00 PM EDT up reply actions

Funny, ANA’s BS play combined with Hiller being amazing has floated my goaltending.

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 17, 2011 3:11 PM EDT up reply actions

Funny thing is I think my team is gonna struggle to consistently get PIM this season. It’s sure gonna be tough to keep up with Downie this week.

Release the Mackan!

by Killer_Carlson on Oct 18, 2011 9:13 AM EDT up reply actions

That’s OK. His 12:00 ATOI will ensure that you win that category.

by Cluster on Oct 18, 2011 10:00 AM EDT up reply actions

downie is so outrageously good at PIMs, i think there are ways to account for his ATOI that would make him worth it…at least enough to get a team to about average in that category.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 18, 2011 10:34 AM EDT up reply actions

Maybe, but keeping around Scheifele for one more game of 7 min TOI didn’t do me any favors.

Release the Mackan!

by Killer_Carlson on Oct 18, 2011 4:19 PM EDT up reply actions

We’ve also got a seriously awesome crop of team names this year. Lucic and Chong, Eberle and Ivory, and Stafford Infection are inspired.

by Knee high to a duck on Oct 17, 2011 12:27 PM EDT reply actions

agreed. one of my friends was briere witch project, which i liked…but i didn’t want to be derivative, and natty boh meester will never go out of style.

what we’re missing is team logos! takes like 3 minutes people. google image search. show some team spirit.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 17, 2011 12:40 PM EDT up reply actions

done

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → b a (select) start

by renstar on Oct 17, 2011 12:49 PM EDT up reply actions

So…I didn’t have any time to do research or a legitimate drafting strategy this year. I need a D. Whatcha got?

by Knee high to a duck on Oct 17, 2011 12:28 PM EDT reply actions

I think I got the sleeper D of the season so far with Souray. He’s looked solid across the board with Dallas.

by Cluster on Oct 17, 2011 12:43 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, he definitely has had a great start. I never expected him to look even NHL-caliber.

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 17, 2011 3:13 PM EDT up reply actions

are you dying to reunite EJ with his “99 problems” teammates from last year? i’m in position to move one of my D i think, but it’s not something i’m seeking out…at least not until the futures of landeskog and RNH are more clear after the 9-game mark.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 17, 2011 1:37 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s not something I need to address immediately, either. I have four and they’re all minute munchers or big-time shot producers, but I’d like to add one more in lieu of a forward.

by Knee high to a duck on Oct 17, 2011 1:50 PM EDT up reply actions

Kaberle could be had….

Unleash the Apathy.

by D'ohboy on Oct 17, 2011 1:51 PM EDT up reply actions

Are there going to be waivers this year?

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → b a (select) start

by renstar on Oct 17, 2011 12:46 PM EDT reply actions

What. The fuck.

Alright, time to get on the phone…

by Knee high to a duck on Oct 17, 2011 1:01 PM EDT up reply actions

What’s up? Can’t check here from work, is there something you notice with our league? Waivers worked for me this entire first H2H session..

by Cluster on Oct 17, 2011 1:43 PM EDT up reply actions

players are immediately available as free agents as soon as they’re dropped. there is no 2-day waiver period like last year where everyone has a fair shot to check the site and see who’s available.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 17, 2011 1:49 PM EDT up reply actions

(or maybe it was 1 day? honestly don’t remember.)

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 17, 2011 1:49 PM EDT up reply actions

Normally it’s at least two, as it prevents shenanigans of players being dropped at 11:59 pm, and then being picked backed up a couple minutes later. Gives everyone at least a full day to view the wire.

by Cluster on Oct 17, 2011 3:51 PM EDT up reply actions

makes sense. but i do think “1 day” in ESPN fantasy parlance is equal to 24 hours plus the rest of the day. doesn’t matter to me, and i think it was 2 last year anyway.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 17, 2011 8:54 PM EDT up reply actions

They’re not active according to what I’m looking for – players are going straight into the FA pool without hitting the wire first.

by Knee high to a duck on Oct 17, 2011 1:49 PM EDT up reply actions

I had a death battle in goaltending with Swim. Both teams under 2 GAA and over .930 Sv%. Pretty incredible run right there, and over a long week so a big sample.

Two benching decisions cost me points, but it’s hard to complain too much on 7-3.

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 17, 2011 3:14 PM EDT reply actions

And Stamkos and MSL had crap weeks. They need to get their shit together.

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 17, 2011 3:15 PM EDT reply actions

Lecavalier has been absolute dog shit so far. What a fucking waste of a second round pick.

Release the Mackan!

by Killer_Carlson on Oct 17, 2011 8:35 PM EDT up reply actions

Better than Malkin at 2 overall, right?

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 17, 2011 11:54 PM EDT up reply actions

And better than trading Stamkos for Malkin last year, right?

I figured on getting more As, PIM, ATOI, while at least coming close to sawing off on PPP and SOG. Fuck yo’ ACL.

by Knee high to a duck on Oct 18, 2011 4:46 AM EDT up reply actions

even with three goalies, it’s absurd that SME put up 9 wins over 1.5 weeks. (11 starts from his keepers.)

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 17, 2011 3:31 PM EDT reply actions

Especially when one of them is the DAL keeper, and they are supposed to suck.

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 17, 2011 4:08 PM EDT up reply actions

Dear One Nut Wonder (Next team name?)

Please score some of your scads of goals on the PP. Thanks.

by Knee high to a duck on Oct 17, 2011 8:26 PM EDT reply actions

My D looks pretty great on paper, but they’ve disappointed big time so far. Keith, Subban and Timonen have combined for 2 assists, and JC is averaging under 20 minutes a night. That shit needs to turn around nice and quick.

Oh yeah, and have I mentioned that Lecavalier fucking blows?

Release the Mackan!

by Killer_Carlson on Oct 17, 2011 8:40 PM EDT reply actions

i was just realizing my team has 5 guys who went number one overall in the NHL draft. if you get sick of lecavalier, hit me up in trade talks and then maybe i’ll make a pitch for MAF and pick up free agent dipietro. balls to the wall!

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 18, 2011 10:33 AM EDT up reply actions

Chris Phillips is bound to be available on the waiver wire!

Release the Mackan!

by Killer_Carlson on Oct 18, 2011 4:16 PM EDT up reply actions

I suck.

Obviously, this is all speculation.

by Rob Parker on Oct 22, 2011 12:46 PM EDT reply actions

Your sig is somehow appropriate.

And your goalies are not helping your cause. I’ll bring back the weekly all-vs-all’s this week, so we can see how much sucking actually occurred.

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → b a (select) start

by renstar on Oct 22, 2011 5:44 PM EDT up reply actions

awwwwwwwwwwww, i needed that LAST week.
