Looking forward to your blogging, YLM! If anything, your journalism will be more accurate than Mr. Wise’s. Maybe they can just suspend him permanently and give you the job, no?

Congrats YLM.
This has nothing to do with you, but I’m kind of stunned at the 11-1 M/F ratio. Rob Dibble approves!
"This guy is an android. He's not human....Oh my goodness."
I agree with you, congrats to YLM. (YLM, you must be the blogger Ryan C., given that you’re a Terp alum and from MD. The other Caps fan bloggers are a Caps fan from VA who’s a UVa alum and a female from the DC area.)

And Bruce Boudreau was planning to take that flight, but headed back a day early.
Mikey in the CI piece:
“If we take these first 82 games to prepare ourselves I think we can go a long way, we just have to be smart.”Interesting. This from a guy who, ahem, one might say lost his concentration at the end there. (Humongous playoffs brain fart?) Mikey being smart? As that old line in ‘Tin Cup’ went, “The word smart and him don’t often collide in the same sentence.”
Kidding! I’m kidding! I love watching Mikey play. Thrill a minute!

RMNB’s pic of Ovie and Nikita Kashirsky as kids is adorable. And I’m looking forward to finally seeing Kashirsky skate! Missed him in South Carolina last season.

ace bailey was one of my first favorite caps. there was a picture of him hanging outside the old capital club and the cap centre. ace was on his knees holding a broken stick that he had just shattered after the other team scored. here’s rob webber’s description of it.
“The most poignant picture of that first year — and most of the first eight — was of Ace Bailey,” said Ron Weber, who broadcast every Caps game until this season, when the team moved to MCI Center. “The Capitals had given up a late goal to lose — and he immediately smashed his stick over the crossbar of the goalpost. He skated a few strides, then sank down on the ice at the right wing circle. You couldn’t see his face. His whole body just sagged — and the shaft of his broken stick was still in his hand.”
remember, that team won 8 games. it’s not like they just go bounced from the playoffs. i was searching online to see if i could find it but found this burnside article which is a great read too.
