No, he’s been spending some time with his buddies in Turkey and with family at home in Samara, and is getting ready to go work with his personal goaltending coach in Finland.

Varly almost looks normal in that picture if you ignore the pink t-shirt. Sigh. At least he’s getting better, although his friend’s shorts need to be 4 inches longer.

Emily, where did you find this? So happy to see that Varly isn’t wearing tight acid-washed shorts and appeared to cut the mullet in back. That Addison guy posting for RMNB during development camp posted a pic of what he said was Varly watching, although no one else ever mentioned Varly being there, so I wasn’t sure it was him (the pic wasn’t the best).

My methods are classified! Either that, or I just abuse google search and googletranslate ‘til they cough up pictures of Russian hockey players on vacay. And the length of Varly’s shorts is perfectly aligned with that of the Russian kiddies at DevCamp this week. They must share the same tailor.

And Varly was honored guest at a festival celebrating the 75th anniversary of Bogatovskogo area:

Bogatovtsy loud applause greeted compatriot goalkeeper Russia Ice Hockey World Championship silver medalist Seeds Varlamov, who came to the anniversary of the district.

The concert program continued with the performance of creative groups Bogatovskogo area, whose members sang spirited songs and dancing like mad. Cultural and entertainment lasted until late at night.

There are, to the best of my knowledge, no pictures of Seeds dancing like mad.

Pity, that.
