As posted in the scrimmage thread, the cheering while Miskovic was laying on the ice in pain was kind of bugging me on a personal level, but I guess people love a good fight.
"Don't mind WM...he's an all-around jerk."
Agreed. I didn’t even see Miskovic until the very end of the clip. This wasn’t even a particularly good fight. I’m disappointed that Finley didn’t really show much initiative at all despite having every advantage you could imagine.
Deo ac Fehritati.
You can also see my fat ass, lols. But yeah, was rough to see. Also, Pisano is 6’6", so 2 inches in height, and has a hockeyfights.com profile.

He’s a big guy, for sure. Is he just a big enforcer type, or does he have some skill with the puck?

I didn’t notice any skill whatsoever.
One of my friends (who isn’t a hockey expert by any means) called a Finley/Pisano fight would happen early in the first period. You could just tell that’s what he’s there for, and a quick check of the hockeydb profile seems to confirm it.
"Game's the same. Just got more fierce."
there’s a nice close-up on my ponytail at the end of the video!

honestly, if you weren’t up on the balcony or sitting right where we were, it was probably difficult to see just how much pain Miskovic was in. Everyone probably continued to follow the play and then the fight, never looking back over to see Miskovic lying on the ice.

Probably true.

For the most part, I have absolutely no problem with fighting in hockey (just to make that point clear), but I really don’t think that’s necessary at all in an internal development camp scrimmage. Of course, I didn’t see any of the events leading up to the fight, so that may change my opinion a bit, but in general I just don’t like seeing this among players who are supposed to have 1 common goal.
I don’t know that is a popular or unpopular comment to made here, but that’s how I feel about it.

That was pretty much my reaction—unnecessary at this type of scrimmage. I only saw the collision as it happened but I didn’t get the impression that there was malicious intent with the hit—more that it was an awkward collision with an attempted hit.
"I’m very happy to hear the news," Ovechkin said when he heard about Backstrom's longterm contract--"because he’s one of the top centers in the world, one of my best friends and we want to play together for a long time. He’s a guy who wants to stay in one place and be comfortable and win, just like me. We talk all the time about playing together, and we talked after the playoffs about how we can win in Washington."

Ditto, with one exception. Semin and Muir dropped their mitts at my first visit to a KCI practice. It’s hard to imagine anything ever topping that; this certainly doesn’t.
