And one Caps prospect:
La Ronge Ice Wolves defenseman Dustin Stevenson was signed to a three-year entry level contract with the Capitals earlier this season. He's pictured here with the storied Credit Union Cup as the Ice Wolves captured the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League championship last month, and leads his team to Dauphin, Manitoba today to contest for the Royal Bank Cup and the title of Canadian Junior A champion.

More Stevenson Info
The Ice Wolves have arguably one of the best all around defence corps in all Junior A Hockey in Canada.
You have the reigning SJHL MVP Dustin Stevenson anchoring the blue line. He is on the ice in all situations. He plays a solid defensive game, can score goals, and can turn the tide of a game with his crunching hits.
Mike Alexander was named the SJHL Defenseman of the year, and when healthy, he quarterbacks the power play, plays very smart defensive hockey, and is always a threat to jump in the play to create offence. Rounded out by Colten Macpherson, Kirk Moore, Phil Belanger, Robert Monfore, this team is extremely solid on the back end.
Stevenson’s playing for the coach of the year
While Beatty’s moves as a General Manager were shrewd, his coaching also deserved applause….. He also helped to mould Dustin Stevenson into the SJHL Player of the Year for 2009-2010.
And he was nominated for CJHL player of the year
DUSTIN STEVENSON (LA RONGE ICE WOLVES – SJHL)
The SJHL’s No. 3 scorer among defenceman, Stevenson captained the Ice Wolves to the SJHL playoffs one year after a last-place finish, and led them on a Cinderella run to their first league championship and a berth at the 2010 RBC Cup. His reward? The SJHL’s player of the year award and a three-year entry level contract the NHL’s Washington Capitals, which begins next season. Stevenson likes to pattern his game after two-time Olympic gold medallist Chris Pronger – a player who leads by example on and off the ice, who can play in any situation and is feared by opponents for his all-around game.
Stevenson has committed to St. Lawrence University for this fall, with an eye towards majoring in Business, but has yet to decide whether to continue his education or begin his professional career with the Capitals.
According to a HF Board post
TSN will carry the semi-finals & final of the RBC Cup next weekend.
