"Tom Poti has been great. You lose one of your best experienced players [to a broken orbital bone]. It's a tough thing, but look, this is the playoffs and you lose players. People come in and it's a chance to be a hero. That's what hockey is all about. It's a battle of attrition after a while when you play a team seven times."

I never thought I’d say this two weeks ago (or ever), but we’re gonna miss Poti’s presence out there. Unless of course Alzner plays like we all know he’s capable of playing. Which of course boils down to Alzner actually playing…

Never thought I'd say this
but we’ll miss you out there, Tom

It’s a good thing that the Caps defense is NOT the problem right now. The problem is Montreal’s defense.
And as I watch VS tonight I hear that Boston “upset” Buffalo. I’m not sure any person who has been watching the Sabres this year found that series to be an upset.
But Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes.
That series depended on 2 things:
1. Buffalo’s offense
2. Ryan Miller

If we wanted to be mean, I guess we could’ve said “At least he can’t take a penalty in OT”. But let’s remain optimistic. I like it.

“It’s a pretty significant injury, so he’s definitely out for tomorrow’s game.”
Only in hockey could that sentence be uttered. It’s a “significant injury,” and he’s out for tonight? As if perhaps he’d play on Sunday?
In baseball, cutting your gum with floss after you try to get some tobacco from between your teeth is a “significant injury” that puts you on the 60-day DL.
