So, like many of you I assume, I’ve basically decided to go about under the assumption that we’re going to lose tomorrow as part of a mostly misguided attempt to take the sting off if we do lose. I’ve already come up with a few pros of dropping out of the playoffs in the first round. Let me know if you guys have any others.

That’s the thing… I don’t think she was. Or she lied to me (back then and more recently), which would make no sense. There’d literally be no reason to lie about it, especially considering that our hanging out, before, was pretty much entirely innocent on both sides.
Anything’s possible, but I don’t see that.

Maybe she was always interested, but too chicken to do anything about it.
That’s how it was for me and my now ex-bf. We made googly eyes at each other for years, but stayed ‘just friends’ until I decided to stop being a chicken about it. And I was happy for quite a while, but it was not to be.

It’s the way we need to run it. I liked their guy cutting to the middle to get the pass for a shot closer in.
That entire aspect of having Zetterberg cutting through the middle to change the point of attack opened up so many more options. I’d have to think that would work well for us with how they are trying to take away room from Green and Ovie up high. Backstrom in to Semin in the middle would seem to be the idea.

He signed a four year extension with Columbus last season. So I think his contract is still good for two more seasons. He’s not going anywhere, unless we trade him away.

ah word. Yeah 30 Seconds to Mars has some really good stuff. They dip in and out of Heavy Rock and Alternative Rock. Their heavier stuff is pretty awesome, KIngs and Queens is more Alt though

Besides a few of their big hits, I find a lot of the underneath songs on their albums resonate the most with me. I seem to find one or two an album that most people haven’t heard of that are just amazing.

People still give their current stuff low marks just for the weird turns they took in the mid 90’s. Their last few CD’s may not be as good start to finish as the old great ones, but there are gems in there for sure.

Yeah Popmart and Zooropa weren’t for everyone. How To Dismantle was a great CD. Lot of hidden gems on that one. All You Can’t Leave Behind was pretty good. Their latest CD has a couple of good songs on it, I was probably expecting more but the few that I really like I like quite a bit.

The Sunday nap day is my saving grace. Although I never used to have to “catch up” on my sleep like that. Maybe I am getting old. If it’s not a good movie week (and for a long while it wasn’t) instead of catching a flick on Sunday I’d just pass out for a good part of the day

I have an ace up my sleeve. I turn 30 this summer. I have sworn off any form of celebration. My friends are not happy about this at all. I literally just want to skip that day. My friend’s wife made a deal with me during Game 6 that if the Caps win the Cup she is allowed to plan a big party for me and I have to accept it.
I feel like I may have saved the Caps but sealed my own fate.

And when I say great game…I mean a better game than they did even against the Rags last year. That game was tense as fuck until Feds scored. That’s why no one sat down after that. It was relief. That and truthfully the knowledge there was no way that pathetic offense of theirs was going to tie it up.

Getting the lead is huge. The tone and pace of the game change so much between them having a lead and us having a lead. Before the last 2 games us being down 2-0 early in the 1st used to mean dick to me honestly. I always knew the push back from us would come. It did in each of the last 2…only problem was the goals didn’t follow.

Exactly. With the possibility of Halak saving another 50+ goals, we absolutely have to jump out to the lead. Every game we have lost was because MTL was able to get the lead and play extremely defensive hockey for the rest of the game
