I am a former hockey player, have done some color work and am now an avid Capitals fan and supporter. However, is it just me, or is Steve Kolbe hard to listen to?  I feel like he's a caged animal over-dramatizing the play. He reminds me of a carnival barker or something like that.  Sorry folks but I think former Capitals announcer Ron Webber was better than Steve Kolbe. Actually, I rather liked Ron Webber....  He had a nice way much about him and I always seemed to learn something about the game from him.  

Anyway, I love to listen to hockey on the radio, but Steve Kolbe ruins the game, at least for me. Do others feel this way?  Do you like the almost every single thing that happens during a game to sound so dramatic?  Or, am I just wrong about Steve Kolbe?
