Dear Habs...

Like Becca, I've had some times where I've enjoyed your company.  The striped jersey sitting currently under an old oven can attest to that.  But like Becca, it's time for us to part.

Now, I noticed you took game 1 from us in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.  I'm ok with that.  Really.  Actually, why I'm writing is to tell you to keep on doing what you're doing.

What?  I'm tired of you, but I want you to keep playing well?  Why could this be?

Simple.  The harder you push, the harder the Capitals will push back.  It's happened all year.  And the angrier the Caps, and the hungrier, the harder the Caps play.  And the harder they play...well, in the end, that's something you'll have to deal with, not me.  Also, if and when the Caps get by you, they'll be that much more ready for the next round.

The playoffs are not decided in one game, but how you played definitely woke up a lot of Caps fans.  I'm sure it woke up an owner, a coach, and 25 players too.  It's something you know all too well, seeing that you have 20+ banners in your risers.

Habs, I hope this message reaches you tired, exhausted, and inebriated.

And I think I speak for the rest of Capsnation when I say; stop trapping, please.
