yeah pretty much we all know goalies are wierd physiologically and while I’m sure Theo is going to be starting the POs I thought BB should have sent out a decent shootout line up. I mean I <3 gordo and brads but seriously? I dunno I may be wierd but I feel like there was no way varly could have pulled that off.

I wasn’t too upset by it. It’s meaningless, so why not give others a chance? It may have helped their confidence had they scored. Didn’t work out that way, but I didn’t think it was a bad idea. But yes, I agree that it was a bit unfair to Varly.

No biggie. If anything, I think Bruce was allowing the troops to have some fun with this last one. Did you see him chuckling on the bench … If anything, I wouldn’t be surprised the rest of the gang lobbied for Gordon and Bradley to go out for the shootout. Well deserved for those guys anyways …

Varly Likes to Bite The Bait
Early … Besides going high on him, sell him the the first deke and he’ll bite. There’s something about patience that Brodeur has that I’d like for Varly to develop a bit more.

I think that’s the same way the shootout against DAL went in early March. I remember Varly going aggressive against the 1st shooters, then the 3rd or 4th guy (think it went 4) got him to bite and just slid it in softly.

After the Thomas save in the 2nd, you could tell AO wasn’t feeling it (Boston’s ‘whole concern’ wasn’t to let him score either.)
Semin’s playing very focused (about as good as I’ve seen him was the line I think).
Green’s blocked shot was good, but he wouldn’t be surprised if people focused on the TO after.
Re: SO guys, it wasn’t going to affect either team’s standings, and 81 other times it’s going to be 8, 19 & 28, so he wanted to give chance to guys who work hard (he’d do it again if circumstances repeated).
