He played 17 games for Columbus, recording one goal and two assists. He has one goal and six assists in 44 combined games this season. Jurcina recently represented Slovakia at the Olympics. He has a minor injury and may not be immediately available to play for the Capitals. The 6’4", 236-pound native of Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia, was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the eighth round, 241st overall in the 2001 NHL Draft. He has played in 319 career NHL games and has recorded 15 goals, 38 assists and 220 penalty minutes for Boston, Washington and Columbus.

I’m so confused…
Everyone wants to kill the king. But the prince, he just sails along telling all the ladies, "One day I'm gonna be king."
Yeah, hopefully he hadn’t sold his place/moved everything.

And FWIW, when the Juice trade was announced, all the guys on Caps Report began to clap.

Per Tarik’s twitter:
Milan Jurcina back to Caps. Heard yesterday that Jurcina was the backup plan if other deals for Dmen didn’t pan out.
Think Nashville was offering too much for House?

Saw a guy at a game last month with a Juice jersey and made fun of him. Guess it turned out to be a good investment.
It’s only a good invesetment if it cost one-tenth what a Mike Green jersey cost.

This is the push for the Cup? Belanger, Walker and Jurcina? Just very disappointing. I mean, I’m sure GMGM was doing the best he could to fill the pieces and the right deal didn’t come along, but it’s just very disappointing.
Who said we had to make the flashy moves to make a push for the Cup?

Sweet Jesus..
Interesting aspect of Jurcina deal — he was just diagnosed with a sports hernia.

Juice
Bottom line, we got Jason Chimera for Clark and a 6th round pick. Turns out not to be a bad trade. Juice was solid on D, maybe he wasn’t the best D but he was good for the Caps and he is young so he can stay longer and grow. He is a big guy so that might help clear the crease.

Via TEB:
Deadline has passed, but more Caps movement could be coming. Hang on.

John Waltons twitter is saying a deal with Carolina…if price is Potsy and Osala does that mean Whitney? Corvo? If it’s Whitney I may be ok with that deal, if it’s Corvo I’d rather just keep Potsy.

I don’t think the Caps needed Belanger AND Rob Niedermayer.
