Caps prospect Stefan Della Rovere sure can sell a punch. Cant wait until we have him to annoy other teams.

Today in literature we were talking about rhetoric in Paradise Lost—-I think Delly is pretty good himself, and from what I’ve heard can be disciplined about it too. Looks like our non-a-hole rec-sion of Downie. I had a deja vu of Zidane there.

Delly was thinking on his feet – his teammate Rinaldo (the Flyers prospect, of course) had just got done boarding Kain’s teammate with a huge hit that may very well be suspendible. Delly and Kain went to the faceoff jawing, and I wonder if Delly provoked him intentionally to get the exact reaction he did – a sucker punch, an immediate drop to the ice, the result being the enforcer dude safely out of the game and away from the Colts’ leet scorers.
Delly got tossed too – he was awarded a misconduct but not a fighting major. In my estimation, the refs knew Delly pushed Allicock into swinging first, but saw that he didn’t escalate into a fight.
The brawl came later, of course.

I also am thinking that Coach drew up this play.
I don’t think that SDR decided on his own what to do, though he was surely watching the Wolves agitators from the bench and knew he’d be called on a la Matt Bradley/Ovie/Downie.

Delly's a pretty good actor
And I am on the record as thinking he looks a little like a young Marlon Brando…

I think he looks a lot like Parise:

Delly didn’t get tossed. No game misconduct.
To be or not to be. That's not really a question.

I’m pretty sure SDR is an a-hole, and I’d hate him (as well as many others here) if he weren’t a Cap. He may be a smarter agitator than Downie, but he is certainly no angel and has his fair share of dickish moments.

Sudbury just couldn’t deal with the fact Barrie is killing them and so have decided to go goon. Hopefully Barrie finishes the series in game 4 Wednesday.
I never liked Folingo when he played in the NHL. No surprise I don’t like how his OHL team plays either.

According to the official score sheet, Allicock was given 2 for instigating, 5 for fighting, a 10 minute misconduct, and a double game misconduct for abuse of the official. I’m guessing something like this would be automatically reviewed by the league for possible suspension? (Allicock does, after all, have a rap sheet already.)
SRD did get assesed a misconduct, but still, goading a guy into taking 37 minutes in penalties to give your team a 7-minute power play is full of win.
Plus getting a goon out of the game and away from your scoring specialists. Hardball hockey.
