AO’s the jerk, obviously. He’s been hoggin up all the puckage and ice time.
But Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes.
See how much better this team is without him? Don’t you wish we traded him for a real team player who isn’t suspended? I here that Cooke guy is less dirty then him.
Cooke doesn’t score the way Sean Avery does though
Joe Corvo understands we hold "Penguins" with as much disregard as theatre people do Macbeth.
Now if we can only get Locker to start calling him Jumbo Joe. . .
Yeah, but the league comes up with ways to suspend Sean Avery. With cooke they just let him get away with it.
Cooke and Richards go hand in hand as far as their hits didn’t break any existing rule. I wish people would stop bringing up Cooke in response to the Ovie hit. Different situations. The Richards hit and Downie russian leg sweep were far worse plays.

Really we were due for one of these games though…combine that with the emotional lift of that comeback win Sunday and this isn’t THAT surprising. We’ve killed Fla this year. We’re burying everything around the net. It all adds up.

I had to wonder when the question came up today, “Can the Hawks win the Cup w/o Campbell in the lineup?” Could we, without Ovi? Probably a question for another forum.

perhaps I wasn’t clear enough. They are a better team with Ovie but the boys know they can’t rely on him when he’s not there and put out a bit more effort.
Oh I know what your saying, its still blasphemy even if its true.
They play very differently. Everyone wants to feed him the puck, because he can put it in the net better than anyone, and he takes up big minutes. Without him they really look for who is the best passing option and have a big more rounded minutes. Would say the PP is worse without him but tonight they have been channeling Knuble on the PP

No penalty on Allen there?

not if they score

Now if we can only get Locker to start calling him Jumbo Joe. . .
they scored before the “penalty” was even committed !! If you wanna clean up hockey Campbell, start with all of the crap that happens after a goal is scored. Anyone remember (about a month or 2 ago) when Nicky gets crosschecked hard after he scored and there was absolutely no call. Any other time of the game it’s an easy call, but not after he scores?
Never happens in hockey. Mirtle said so

Bit sanctimonious today, but I’ll get over it

I think he, Chemmy, and PPP all decided it would be fun to rile us up today. We’re a very rile-up-able crowd.

Not even that. We had one side, they took another, and we clashed horns. Nothing personal about it – just hockey talk. I still love treading water at PPP.

FLA has 37 shots on goal. That’s not good.

i feel like the most significant note of this season for this team (other than the streak) has definitely been how they’ve played when ovi is out.

Mighty Florida!
Interesting note. Florida regularly performs better in Strat-o-Matic hockey than they do in real life. For my husband, Florida has made the playoffs during the last two seasons. They won the SE Division for him for 2007-2008 and 2008-2009.
Does Florida just not do well enough in the clutch? Or do they need to fire their coach?
Rocking the Red since 1975
We dressed Laing, Sloan and no Ovechkin and they got waxed like this. If I was Florida, I would pack it in now. Not only did we beat them. We informed that they can be looking forward to 4 games of pain if they dare to try to comeback. Better to maximize the ping pong balls and pray.
