That’s a very black and white way of taking the entire season’s numbers at face value. If you take more recent samples, I’m sure Theo outperforms Varly and Neuvy’s numbers are still too small of a sample size with no playoff experience.

I’m happy to put money on the nested bet:
1. If Washington advances past the first round, then Varly will end up with more playoff starts than Theo.
2. If Washington falls in the first round, then Theo will end up with more starts.
Theo is just not good enough to go with in the playoffs. I understand the locals are excited about his recent run of non-putrid play, but if that’s the best he has to offer (it is), you need to recognize that that’s a mediocre run for the top half of the goalies in the league. BB may be a bit confused at the moment, but I’m confident he’ll come to his senses, as he did last year when Varly was much, much less of known quantity, or if he doesn’t come to his senses, we’ll flop out in Rd 1.
i don’t think 10 wins consecutively is mediocre in any way.

My in-laws are Pens fans from the Burgh…. I’ve found great ways to deal with them…. And I converted their daughter, so I feel like the Caps and I have won for all of eternity because of that.

They’re actually really cool, I just avoid their house on Sundays in the fall and for every Pens game that they’re actually able to get around here. The best part of it all is that they’ll watch Caps games and they have to see footage of her daughter in and I walking through Verizon center in all Caps gear every few games. Apparently, we’re part of stock fan footage now.

Its about a 45 minute drive for me being in West Palm. I could make it in time. I was trying to get some of my buddies to go (they know nothing about hockey) but it was a tough sell to get them to sit where I wanted to sit ($$$). I’m flying up to DC for a playoff game, so I’ll see get to see them again.
Wait a second. Why isn’t anyone arguing about the Ovechkin suspension in this thread? Surely there is some new, refreshing, and insightful analysis on the issue that could be discussed here.

Caps 4 / Hawks 3 ! Still recovering from the trip
Was anyone else at the game Sunday? I saw a decent amount of Caps fans in the stands. Needless to say, I’m still recovering from celebration shots with Hawks fans at the bars afterwards. I guess they were celebrating getting a point against us. I didn’t even mind the delayed flight Sunday night!

i just got lucky flipping to CSN at 7 and it was on. Usually i have to watch it online
