Not sure on the date of this. May have been posted before. I think after the Pens game on Sunday it's been thrown out into the open about media bias. I actually don't mind McGuire, but I can't stand Milbury. At least they know our feelings towards them.

Milbury clearly loves to take shots at the Caps and is obnoxious because he says stupid things just to be controversial.
But I dislike McGuire for a different reason. I don’t find him to be particularly biased, but he gets way too caught up in the love for stars. He’s way too excitable for big games or any time a star for any team is playing and just goes insane hyping them up. The weird thing is that McGuire actually does know a good amount about the sport and is pretty insightful and reasonable (something you can never say about Milbury) when he is a guest analyst on XM Home Ice. There’s just something about calling games that brings out the worst in him.
Of all our iniquities ignorance may be the worst
I don’t know if I’ll ever forgive him for that comment about the stands at the VC being 50% Flyers fans.

On Draper having to wear a USA jersey at practice: "well at least the Wings can settle bets without involving gold plated desert eagles!"
Can’t listen at work but Milbury is an ass. He does say good things about the Caps fairly regularly these days, I’m sure Ovi rightly still thinks he’s a cat tho.
Can you think of any other major sport where the people on the biggest stages who are paid to talk about the sport tear down entire teams or imply or state that they are weak organizations on such a regular basis – their own league – with that airtime? Seems like league leadership would want to replace that talk with more constructive broadcasting to the masses.
But as long as Ovi keeps nailing people while leading in points he will be topical/controversial/newsworthy to the league and people should probably expect it.
