Maybe, but it wasn’t exactly late. The whistle hadn’t blown yet. He also wasn’t charging and I think he wanted shoulder contact (unlike Richards). The arm flying out late is the most unsettling part of it.

You’re right. It’ll just be hysterical when Carter gets suspended for basically the same thing Richards did, just less violent. And if Carter doesn’t get suspended then we’ll just hear more cries about the Wheel of Justice. If Green got 3 as a message to the rest of the league then I don’t know how they completely ignore this hit.

But Briere did get suspended for a late hit that didn’t look half as bad as this one.

Way ugly.
Only borderline after the play. With the shoulder. In the head, yes, but you can shoulder-check a guy in the head.
Doubt this draws a suspension, which, given my track record, means he probably gets one.
