I don’t disagree. I like our chances and the match-up challenges the speed and forechecking Team USA’s forwards will pose to CAN’s blue line.

After today I’m not so sure you can say Canada is a heavy favorite. Definitely a favorite, but maybe a light-to-medium one.
I’ll stand by it. But it’s hard to tell. CAN and USA both blew out teams that didn’t really show up. We have a chance, especially if Kane and Stastny wake up, but CAN is stacked and angry.

Both teams are starting to find their identities and are hitting their stride. The question mark for me would be Team USA’s blue line against the 4 lines CAN sends in waves. Hoping:
1) Miller stands on his head and steals another one.
2a) The team ‘D’ (disciplined two-way play) tightens up a bit more …
2b) allowing the blueliners to contribute more effectively on the offensive end while solidly playing their roles in the defensive end
3) The forecheck keeps up its relentless, aggressive, and physical presence
4) Team CAN’s blueline corps get worn out by that speed USA’s forwards
5) USA finishes their chances at every opportunity
6) USA outworks the Canadians with serious blue collar work every shift
7) Last but not least, Team USA brings that "Eat a f-cking porcupine’ ’tude to ’em Canucks
