Excellent balance and core strength. He might be the strongest player in the NHL in terms of functional strength and you see an example of it there.

Look at that landing on his right skate. He’s a paragon of proprioception.

Just normally people, even Ovechkin, fall, whether delivering or receiving the open ice hit.

Which is better: The Jagr hit, or this?

The Jagr hit, all the way.

The Jagr hit, but it’s great to have them both in one place now. These two and the John Carlson goal are the pantheon of repeating Caps moments.
Killer_Carlson and Steckel Me Elmo are like brothers to me. And when I say brothers I don't mean like actual brothers. I mean it like how black people use it, which is more meaningful, I think.
Can we have a shrine of these somewhere on the Rink? Just photos and videos and stuff that makes us smile?

No, it’s up to Natty. He can just add them in his alleged glossary of The Rink.

You can add the push in goal/no goal from right before break too.
Half the reason Geno scored was because the Czechs lost him looking for that 8 freight train that crushed Jagr.
erskine has scored...now i can die in peace

another bonus
looks like he had his fight straps tied down too!
:)
Promote the game, it's the NHL, not SCHL
Please – he’s clearly still on the ice when the contact is made.

Here before you arrive, here while you visit, and definitely here after you've gone.

It’s a little tough to tell with white skates/white ice, but I think it’s evident that he has his right toe and his left skate on the ice.

Astonishing
Wow, poster leaves his senses for a doofus meme again. Yawn.

The second best part of that is Jagr’s reaction. Check helmet, skate back down ice, no whining to the officials (backhanded slap on Sidney), just business as usual. And nobody on the Czech team takes a run at Ovie for a “hockey hit.”
Well there’s no fighting so the reaction wouldn’t be the same, but Hejda took himself out of position coming up like he was going to do something.

Cluster had it right, Polak not Hejda.

The Olympic rings make for a nice touch.
Now helping to keep an eye on all things Gr8 at Alex Ovetjkin.
That hit should be signed to a contract and play minutes on the Caps’ second line pairing.

Would this be the basketball equivalent to “Posterized”?
or maybe, after some circulation over at PPP, “GiF’d”?
I think i may have started something. . .
Bah-Ram-Ewe, Ovechkin will wreck you. Fear the Furious Fleece!
.GIF’d! I love it.
