Interesting story on Brendan Witt and his being booted off the Island...
Witt's departure from the Island...
Saying that Gordon cost him his career seemed a bit over the top - let's face it Brendan, your best days were behind you, and you were a bit slower than you once were, but nonetheless, it wasn't like like the Islanders were stocked with prime NHL defensemen...they signed Jurcina the next off-season, so that tells you something....

Sounds like most of the comments on that story are supportive of Witt and are panning the coaching of Gordon. There were some that acknowledged that he was losing his skills but most appreciated his candor.
No matter what happens with Witt, I’ll never forget his birthday — same as my first child. And born the same day as Livan Hernandez.
Rocking the Red for teams on the banks of the Potomac and at the Gateway Arch and Singing the Blues about Hockey.
I was a fan of his when he was a Cap.
Gotta respect a guy that plays a game the same day he’s hit by a car.
