Catch Japers' Rink Radio Tomorrow!
Hello, friends. Russell and I are back in action tomorrow with a jam-packed, hard-hitting 30th episode of JRR! We'll be joined first by very special guest Craig Laughlin, color analyst for CSN Capitals broadcasts and former Caps' sniper. We'll discuss the recent trade that brought veteran rearguard Scott Hannan into the fold, the brief Western road trip just completed, the endless (and endlessly fascinating) line tinkering of Coach Bruce Boudreau, and lots more.
And our good friend James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail joins us later in the hour for some outside-the-Beltway perspective on the Caps and the Eastern Conference.
We'll also preview the fifth meeting of the season between the Caps and Atlanta Thrashers, where the boys -- back in red -- will look a avenge a 5-0 blanking down south.
To shamelessly borrow from the Puck Daddy Radio marketing department, here's your question for tomorrow's show:
Which game in the upcoming four-game home stand will be the toughest to win, and why?
The call in number is (917) 388-4003 and we'll take your questions @japersrinkradio.

Quite a star-studded line up tomorrow, cant wait to listen in.
It’s definitely going to be the Thrashers game coming up tomorrow. Toronto is. . .Toronto. FLorida is. . .FLorida. The Avalanche will be the most interesting game for sure, IMO. But they play in ATL at 5:30 the day before, then come here to play at 5:00, like I said, interesting, but not threatening.
Atlanta spanked us 0-5 last time. . .it’ll be a tough’un
Soon the Championship with be ours, all ours!
Flash, COL Debut
16 minutes of ice time, 1 shot, no points, even +/-.
Yep, sounds like boring old Flash
Atlanta, because they’re playing so well right now.

My blog and Twitter, featuring coverage of the most unpredictable team in the NHL and where we defend Mike Green, Alex Ovechkin, and Alexander Semin until the bitter end. That is to say, when someone tries to call BS on the Corsi numbers.

Very interesting show, guys. Wish we could have heard the end of Mirtle’s segment, but will pick up the podcast.

Great show. I always enjoy story time when the old timers are guests. Interesting hearing Locker reminisce about Langway, Stevens, et al.

So, what’s the deal with call-ins? I’d have called, but the flow of the dialogue was so entertaining that I didn’t want to break it up.
I wanted to hear what Mirtle thinks about the competence level of officials in the NHL, and whether the Colin Campbell emails should have been a firing offense.

Thanks for the feedback.
It was a packed show this week and so, admittedly, we didn’t leave a lot of time today for what would have been a natural call-in segment. But we certainly welcome calls during future shows, when we don’t have two guests and so much to ask each of them (including stuff left on the table, as you point out!). And I’m sure that we’ll have James on again down the road.
Thanks for listening.
