Other than being in the box twice, why hasn’t Semin been on the PK on all of the other penalties? He’s good at it. He seems to have been replaced by 90.
Good point, only 9 seconds according to gamecenter. He’s playing top line RW, so maybe it’s that, or he hasn’t been playing well so BB is benching him, kind of.

Stop bitching at the refs to not make calls for the Caps. Your unfetted bias against the Washington organization, unbalanced PiM’s, and free goals for the opposing teams are complete and utter horseshit.
Signed a pissed off Caps fan.
Seriously last 5 games its been 22-14 PK-PP for the caps. That’s pretty damn unbalanced resulting in 4 free goals for the other teams.
But for being scored on twice, and being on the PK 40% of the period to have the scoring chances to be so relatively close is pretty telling.
Bruce Boudreau when asked about Brooks Laich's return to the lineup, he said: "He just adds another dimension to our team. If it was puzzle, he just fits that thing. He completes us."
Brooks Laich completing everything from teams to tires and everything in between.
Got dammit Caps. Fucking do something. Please.

Almost all those goals were scored in a Caps-esque way – we’ve seen that cross-ice pass to a waiting man on the side of the net so many times I can’t even count. Would be nice if the Caps remembered how to do it.
Also yet another way the Lightning this year remind me of the Caps a few years ago (with slightly less prospect depth).

The Flyers took 7 penalties as well. They shouldn’t have taken those penalties late in the third with a two goal lead.
Generally, sure – but Philly took 7, including a couple late that let the Caps tie the game a few times. Not exactly a “winning” effort by your standard, either.

I think that is relative to the way the rest of the team is playing (fair and fairly even with the other team), to the performance of the penalty kill unit (good), to the quality of the calls (questionable), and to the team being played (not choirboys and not playing cleaner than the Caps). For me that adds up to them deserving at least one point tonight.

“Two very proud teams” coming back after their last games.
“When you take 4 penalties in the second period” with a team with a good PP you get “bit in the butt.”
Semin “didn’t have a very good game.”
Mentioned odd man breaks and if you don’t take advantage of them, you keep the other team into it.
Carlson was “playing to win,” playing hard and “really wanted to win the game.”
Thought MJ90’s game was his best to date.
Thought Fehr, Flash and Chimera stepped up well in lieu of Knuble’s time.
Lots of “lazy” penalties (read offensive zone), but a bunch of “iffy” ones.
