Much, much better. Did the Flyers ever have the puck in the slot? I can only remember Hartnell’s rebound on one of their PPs. Terrific pressure on D.

Nielsen would be great, but his deal is 2 more years at 550k. What a steal. Moulson will go UFA but I guess they’ll re-up him. Grabner is young, but has struggled. Great wheels though. We’ve had some dumb ones tonight that were avoidable too. Bury the chances we’ve had and we don’t put ourselves in a position where a bad call or two can cost ust he game

by Davethecapsfan on Nov 20, 2010 8:42 PM EST up reply actions

But a team has the least influence over the refs’ perception during each game. The Flyers aren’t playing any cleaner than the Caps, but the borderline calls are going against the Caps so far.

(Yes, I know about the avatar hounding - just pretend mine is invisible.)

by oldemystix on Nov 20, 2010 8:45 PM EST up reply actions

Nothing the team can do about it but play through it and adjust. Never expect good reffing I say.

Everything ends badly...otherwise it wouldn't end.

by Davethecapsfan on Nov 20, 2010 8:47 PM EST up reply actions

My point is that in that situation a team doesn’t have the option of adjustment because it isn’t in their control. They can accept. They can protest. They can attempt to influence. They can be resigned.
