I remember watching that game on tv, and definitely noticed the hundreds of them passed about the crowd. And I remember the DC Sports Bog post about it the next day.

I’m more amused that not one person has commented on the photo! Would have been way more fun than another “My incredibly special snowflake sucked his thumb until he was 12 and never had speech problems!” post.
