Capitals Lunchbox, Episode 1
As a part of their ongoing (and successful) efforts to provide the most comprehensive Caps coverage around, CSN Washington routinely features the best and the brightest minds in analyzing the team.
They also, apparently, had room for us. The result is Episode 1 of "Capitals Lunchbox" in which Michelle Scalise gives Corey Masisak and myself a giant half-eaten hamburger backdrop discussion topics and we get to discussin'. Enjoy.

So…where’s the opinions from the bottle koozie?
"DON'T SAY THAT! Please! That is the worst, most stupid thing anyone could say! Cause it quite clearly isn't "only a game." I mean if it was do you honestly think I'd care this much?"
Not to be a dickford, but...
..that background really is bad—smacks of amateur hour.
I suspect you have no control over that, but, geez, I bet there’s a person or two here that would happily volunteer to provide some more professional looking graphics if you do it again (looks around, sheepishly raises hand).
Other than that, the production was perfect, John. I mean—Jon. Or is it John? I can never remember—perhaps I could ask the actual person how to spell his name….
We're Hüsker Dü and we're on MTV. Who are you, and what are you on?
(Jon)
You perhaps knew me better as "Your Nation's Capital." Same great commentary, now with 100% more transparency!
[i think he was commenting on the CSN typo.]

Mike Green is going to love that background.
I have a twitter.
Not another Capitals blog!
"Victory is sweetest when you've known defeat"
for those who won't get the background on that comment

At least throws a few five guys burgers back there and some Thomas Creek Windows to make a little advertising $$$.
Everything sounds smarter in Tikkanesse....
Or a chipotle burrito, or a Papa John’s pizza, or a Green Turtle wrapper on the burger…
Don’t make fun of my obsession over ketchup dispensers ever again! ;) Ted Leonsis
Good show, rough background and even more atrocious music bed. Now we’ll have to champion Capitals Lunchbox for Peabody AND Schultz for Norris.
Love that there’s a great deal of honesty with the answers given.
Many a night from yonder ivied casement, ere I went to rest,
Did I look on great Orion sloping slowly to the West.
The still frame of the video makes it look like J.P. and Corey are having a “non-plussed” contest.
And I hear you talk the talk, but I don't see you walk the walk and I still don't believe a thing you say.

Content wise, very nice. I agree with some of the others, that background needs to go.
Also, the background music as well. When you are in your commentary, it is very distracting hearing that really cheesy music, just get rid of it.
If you have any influence on the set-up, it’s awkward with her in the middle. She looks like she’s watching a tennis match as you two take turns talking. It would be more conversational and seem less staged if the guests were on the same side.
What they said. Also, watch her face.. parts of it keep disappearing behind the background.
Yeah, I think we’re all pretty much in agreement. Production values seem lacking, dialog is quality. =)
Also, don’t be afraid to speak up a little! Project.
