That’s somewhere between Alzner and Erskine, eh?

just read about the Rags-Oilers game on NHL.com.
ok, I SOOO want to see that fight video.

There’s video. They had a bunch of replays.

(Yes, I know about the avatar hounding - just pretend mine is invisible.)
It was a total sucker punch by Avery, it looked like Smid dropped the gloves, Avery pretended to skate away, and then when Smid let his guard down Avery turned around and one punched him.
Aim for the head baby Jesus
Avery straight up told Smid he didn’t want to go right then, so Smid started to move away. Then Avery jumped him.

I am just shocked Avery would do such a thing!

ahh college football. :) I am one person who actually likes the NFL more than college football, mainly because I know a lot more about the teams and players.
I have always liked NCAA more since I was a kid. Michigan is my team. I know NFL to a degree but it never excites me as much as a good college football game
I poured spot remover on my dog. Now he's gone.

True. The intensity is a lot higher in college football. And, yes, it does seem like every week there are at least several insane games. Although there was one today in Jacksonville where the Jags won on a hail mary with 3 seconds left.
Awesome..I love the last minute heave ho to the end zone. Though I remember as a teen Michigan lost on TWO hail marys in consecutive years—it was heartbreaking. lol

Ugh, thanks for reminding me Don. Then the next year MSU beat Michigan on a last minute hail mary also.

by Rather Bengt on Nov 14, 2010 5:22 PM EST up reply actions
I disagree about the intensity…the emotion of the crowd and each game means a whole lot more but so many kids coming up from college just can’t get used to the “speed and intensity” of the NFL. It’s the fans and the fact that if you lose even one game you may be out of the national title race that makes it so exciting in my book.

That’s true, I don’t like the no playoff system. Dave, btw, Favre was a turnover machine today. Just sayin’.
Yeah I saw only part of the game. Every time I turned it on Peterson was getting stuffed. 51 yards on 17 carries? Not good enough, Favre had to force it all day. The O line and D line haven’t been nearly as good as they were last year for the Vikes. Lacking a 100% Harvin and the rest of the wideouts (sans Moss now) not doing much all year he’s been set up to fail.
Everything ends badly...otherwise it wouldn't end.
by Davethecapsfan on Nov 14, 2010 5:21 PM EST up reply actions
Excuses! You just don’t want to admit he should just retire. Haha, jk. I agree, he doesn’t have a great core around him. Chicago’s run D is tough so it’s not surprising Peterson didn’t have a big day. But still, how is Chicago winning? Jay Cutler is awful.
If you had told him that Berrian would suck this year, Harvin would be not 100% the entire season, and that Rice would decide to get his hip or whatever fixed right after he said he’d come back I guarantee you there’s no way he would have came back. Set up for failure from the jump.

Cutler is great and terrible at the same time. He had 3 touchdown passes today. I know people see a couple of turnovers and decide that QB sucks, but that’s part of their mentality. It’s feast or famine. They take chances and sometimes it goes bad, a good bit of the time they look tremendous.
Everything ends badly...otherwise it wouldn't end.
by Davethecapsfan on Nov 14, 2010 5:26 PM EST up reply actions
I’d rather have a QB that’s smart and doesn’t cost his team games. I have seen Cutler play very well before (this year against Dallas) and I’ve seen how awful he can be (against ’Skins) but he is just too risky for my liking.

by Davethecapsfan on Nov 14, 2010 5:35 PM EST up reply actions
His offensive line has also been terrible this year. Can’t be discounted when considering those turnovers. Deangelo Hall also had a ridiculous game that day. Both Cutler and Favre have been hurt by their receivers not helping them out much either. Percy Harvin at least 3 times has tipped a ball up that should have been a catch (2 of them inside the 5 no less) and into the arms of a defender.
Sometimes it’s not all on the QB.
Everything ends badly...otherwise it wouldn't end.
