So Kids Can 2010-2011 Pledge Drive!

The 2010-2011 Japers' Rink Pledge Drive kicks off today! This year, we're pledging for Mike Green's So Kids Can Charity. This season, So Kids Can is working with KaBOOM! to build a Capitals-themed playground in an under-served DC-area community. Details TBD, but in addition to pledging, you can also volunteer to help with the construction!

Mike will donate $100 for each goal and $50 for each assist this season. Eliot Segal will match Mike's season total. IceWEB and Washington Capitals Charities have already donated $10,000 each to kick off the 2010-2011 campaign.

As with last year, you have a lot of flexibility in determining your pledge levels, as well as sending your pledge in at the end of the season. To participate, I need to know the following information (leave it as a reply):

Which games you want to pledge for. You can do the entire season, home games only, games against specific opponents, etc.
How much you pledge for each Mike Green goal and each assist.
I will also accept pledges for Green's game-winning goals, and if he gets another Norris nomination!

No pledge is too small! Every dollar is needed to build the playground. Flat donations are also welcome!

If you want to track additional stats and make pledges on those, I am asking that you keep track of them on your own this season; I'll contact you around the all-star break and then at the end of the season to add to the total.

The spreadsheet is available for everyone to see. I try and update it the morning after a game.

Since I like the Saves For Kids goalie approach, I’m going to stick with goalies.

At the end of the year, $1 for each point above .900 for Neurvy, $1 for each game played for Varly.

This is paltry, but I expect I’ll be adding more for the playoffs. This is for all regular-season games (beginning last night):

$0.25 per goal
$5.00 per OT GWG

Plus $10 for a Norris nomination or $20 for any individual trophy Green wins. (Who knows, maybe he’ll be a Hart candidate.)
