Kolbe Broadcast from Nashville

Driving home from dinner last night after missing periods 1 and 2.  We wanted to listen to game and turned on Steve "The Iceman" Kolbe.  What a horrible experience.

There were three other Caps fans in the car with me and none of us could figure out what was happening on the ice.  Who has the puck?  What zone are they in?  Who is paired together?  Who got checked?  Who shot the puck?  Who scored?  Did anyone score?  Was it a save or was it a goal?  Oh....it was a goal?  Who scored? Honestly, all we could understand was the score.  We had no idea what was going on!

Kolbe's voice rumbles and is overly-excited no matter what's happening on the ice. His jokes are usually mistimed,  inappropriate and distracting...they might not be so bad if his call would paint an accurate picture of the play.  But instead, all you get out of the guy is a mess.  Caps fans deserve much better.
