Carcillo fined $2,500 for throat-slash gesture against Leafs
Can the suspensions\fines become any more of a joke? Here is a total joke of a player that has been suspended quite a few times in the past 1.5 years and they fine him $2,500?

I don’t have a huge problem with the throat-slash gesture. But I’m not all that sensitive. I don’t think it’s going to ruin America’s youth, I don’t think it’s an unnecessarily violent gesture. Sure, Carcillo is an ass, but I can think of plenty of more offensive things that he’s done.
Now let's say you and I go toe to toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor.
I don’t have a problem with it either. I have a problem with the fine on a player where it means nothing.
Not only is the universe stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.
I agree with this, but at the same time I understand the motive behind it. They are appeasing the parents who cry about role models etc. Let’s just hope they consider this the next time he makes an unnecessarily dangerous play and are deciding between 1 or 2 or 3 games…

It’s like the Avery comments, isn’t it? Sometimes a known douchebag just adds the straw that breaks the camel’s league’s back with some unsportsmanlike conduct out of the flow of game play (this was during a stoppage after he scored, right?).
"Camaraderie, that's what the Washington Capitals are all about."
One of these days we’re going to be calling him Incarcillo, as in incarcerated.
